Mentors

Long-term mentoring is a critical component of our program. Students come from a background of poverty and may lack the social skills to succeed on their own. Immediately upon being accepted into the program each student is matched with a mentor whose responsibility it will be to build a trusted relationship with the student and to guide them through their university studies and into the work force.

Our mentors are drawn from throughout the local community, and abroad; and from all backgrounds. They are required to meet firm and uncompromising standards, the least of which is a passion for helping youth succeed and become positive contributors to our society. Mentors are carefully screened and selected, then best matched with students.
